PN History


The introduction of Royal Pakistan Navy accompanied the production of Pakistan on the notable day of 14 August 1947. Like different naval forces of the federation, Pakistan's Navy additionally had the prefix "Regal" until the nation was announced a republic in 1956. At 0800 on 14 August 1947, the banner of Rear Admiral J W Jefford, Flag Officer Commanding Royal Pakistan Navy was facilitated on his Flagship HMPS GODAVARI. Activity DWARKA


Activity Dwarka is perhaps the main occasion of 1965 Indo-Pak war which reflected boldness, assurance, proficient skill, commitment and coordination of the PN staff engaged with it. The goals of this activity were:


a. To coax the weighty adversary units out of Bombay for the submarine GHAZI to assault


b. To obliterate the radar establishment at Dwarka


c. To bring down Indian assurance


d. To redirect Indian Air exertion from the north see more


SUBMARINE OPERATION 1971



Submarine Operation 1971 is one more accomplishment of pakistan Navy. INS KHUKRI, the boat of the Squadron Commander of Indian fourteenth Frigate Sqn was sunk in something like two minutes in the wake of getting a hit in the magazine where explosives were held. 18 Officers and 176 mariners including the Commanding Officer lost their lives. PN FLEET TILL 2000



Soon after freedom on 14 August 1947 the Armed Forces Reconstitution Committee (AFRC) split the Royal Indian Navy between the two nations India and Pakistan.
